Meet Colleen
About Me & My Philosophy:
I was once described by a client as their “Decorating Cheerleader”! After laughing, I asked, “Why a cheerleader?” What she said warmed my heart. She explained that it was because my passion for design was contagious and my tenacity to see her project through to a successful end was unrelenting.
While building my interior decorating business, I have sought to knock down the stereotypes that surround interior design – mostly that interior design is a luxury only the wealthiest can afford; that interior designers are snooty; and that an interior designer will force their style on your space. My philosophy is to make decorating fun and attainable by providing a choice of client-focused design services ranging from a decorating brainstorming to custom design and installation services for an entire home. With Colleen Lora Designs a beautiful home is a luxury that all my clients can afford.
I grew up in a small town in Northeast Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Youngstown State University. After working in marketing and political affairs, I decided to turn my obsession of interior design and decorating into a career and I have been on fire ever since.
My home life is shared between New Albany, Ohio and Naples, Florida. I believe in supporting my community and the power of networking so I spend time volunteering with organizations such as The New Albany Womens Network, The Junior League of Columbus, The Women’s Board of Franklin Park Conservatory, The New Albany Chamber of Commerce and The Kelton House Museum and Garden.
I have been blessed with wonderful clients and their limitless trust in me has enabled for my design work to be recognized by my peers.
